ART IN AMERICA
This monthly magazine was founded more than 100 years ago, in 1913. With articles pertaining primarily to contemporary art in the USA, Art in America offers artist profiles, information on art movements, exhibit reviews, and scheduled art events around the country.
The magazine, which has a circulation of more than 75,000 copies, is published monthly out of New York. The same publisher also distributes Chelsea Art, a bi-monthly free magazine that offers a guide to the contemporary art neighborhoods of New York City.

ART IN PRINT
This international art journal is published every two months, and celebrated its inaugural issue in 2011. Covering every style of printed artwork, the publication offers both print and online subscriptions and various website contents accessible without a membership. Their content includes articles, reviews and news on the latest artists and styles. Their website also includes a calendar of exhibits, auctions, and competitions around the world.
In each issue, the winner of the previous Prix de Print competition winner is shown. The winner of this exclusive competition has an essay written about their artwork. Some featured artists have been world famous, while others have never had a gallery show.

ART OF THE WEST
Founded in 1987, Art of the West showcases Western-style art by American artists, with everything from land and seascapes, to old "cowboy" art, to Native American artwork. The simple ,classic cover features a different, full page painting each issue.
This bi-monthly publication offers an archive of articles from past and present issues, as well as information about featured artists, a list of suggested reading and viewing materials, and subscriptions to a bi-monthly newsletter.

ARTFORUM
This contemporary art magazine, distributed from New York, is published ten times per year. It is unique in its square format and, like Art of the West, donates each cover to a single full art piece. With articles and reviews on art and books, pop culture columns, and gallery advertisements, the publication, created in 1962, has had many notable contributors including Clement Greenberg, Dennis Cooper, Lucy Lippard, and Rosalind Krauss.

THE ARTIST'S MAGAZINE
First published in 1983, this unique magazine features information on painting techniques, special effects, and art business topics such as marketing. With ten issues published yearly, The Artist's Magazine is one of many art magazines published by F+W, and shares its content with the website Artist's Network. As such, its digital presence includes access to articles, event listings, subscription pages, blogs and forums, and many other useful resources.

ARTNEWS
Founded in 1902, ARTNews includes articles, news, reports, and exhibit reviews of art from past centuries to today. Based in New York, the magazine was originally called Hyde's Weekly Art News. The name was later changed to American Art News, and finally ARTNews in 1923.
Featuring content by notable art critics and writers, the magazine has won numerous awards including the prestigious George Polk Award. ARTNews is published eleven times per year.

CANADIAN ART
This quarterly, national art magazine was first published in 1984. Compiled by a non-profit organization that supports the arts, Canadian Art features news, reviews, and feature-length articles penned by some of the country's most notable writers and art critics.
The magazine offers yearly insight on top art schools, and identifies gallery exhibits by province in eac hissue. On their website they provide the full content of recent issues, as well as current selections, and guides listing art events, programs, and other timely information.

FIRST AMERICAN ART
First published in 2013, First American Art discusses historical and contemporary art by and about the Indigenous peoples of North and South America. With both print and digital issues, the magazine reaches a wide, international audience, and features articles on indigenous art styles, artist profiles, and reviews and essays about gallery exhibitions.

APERTURE
Based in New York City, Aperture was founded in 1952 by the Aperture Foundation, which in turn was established by artists and art professionals including Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Beaumont Newhall, and Dody Warren. It was one of the first journals to investigate and discuss photography as a fine art media.
The quarterly publication includes photographs by both emerging and existing photographers, and other images relating to photographs. Articles include scholarly reviews, critiques, insights, and more, all in keeping with the original mission statement, to provide a "common ground for the advancement of photography."
